
KSUMC Wins Healthcare Implementation of the Year Award
The recently implemented eSiHi application in the Renal Unit has won the 2017 Healthcare Implementation of the Year Award, which is one of the annually organized awards by Arabian Computer News (ACN) Magazine on the sidelines of Gitex in Dubai in recognition of significant achievements in the field of information technology.
In addition, the application has won the 2017 Cerner Middle East Achievement and Innovation in User Experience Award, and it was nominated to compete in the 13th annual ACN Arab Technology Awards. The application, which is part of eSiHi system, is integrated for patients with kidney failure and is considered the first of its kind in Cerner and the world and that shows the university's advancement in developing healthcare applications. The fact that this award coincided with Gitex gives it even greater significance in the field of technology in Middle East. The awards ceremony was part of the GITEX Dubai events on healthcare applications and innovations in which sectors implementing advanced healthcare applications and other applications in the fields of energy, industry, sales, education, hotel and tourism management, government services, etc., have participated.
