Young Man Saves Baby’s Life with CPR
Clinical Skills and Simulation Center at College of Medicine and KSUMC honored Mr. Salem Alshaibani, a young man who saved a baby's life who nearly drowned to death. Alshaibani said that the CPR awareness campaign has contributed in exercising CPR perfectly where I saved a child's life in my first realistic rescue experience. Alshaibani praised the great role played by the Center's staff in raising the community awareness about CPR, adding that I received training in the commercial complex in a short time and with high professionalism in conveying the information in the right manner to the campaign members. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Center's staff.
Dr. Yasser bin Abdulkarim Alasakh, the head of Clinical Skills and Simulation Center, assured that the Center is equipped with various educational models and simulation scenarios with a range of basic to complex skill modules to assist in skill development under a structured, safe, stress-free environment without putting patients at risk. Believing in the importance of raising awareness in the society about the importance of CPR, the Center conducts educational and training campaigns in shopping malls and public parks.
