“The Digital Revolution and the Transformation of Health Care” in a Symposium at King Saud Universit
The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine and King Saud University Medical City, in collaboration with the Evidence-Based Healthcare Research Chair, organized a workshop entitled “Transformation of Healthcare through the Digital Revolution: Big Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence as Examples”. The workshop was attended by prof. Ahmed Al-Hirsi the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Amr Gamal The chairman of the Family and Community Medicine Department and head of Evidence-Based Healthcare Research Chair and a number of heads of medical and administrative departments.
Dr. Amr Gamal said that the workshop aims to highlight healthcare empowerment through technology and innovation using artificial intelligence and big data to increase the size and efficiency of health care and manage long-term challenges.
He added that the symposium discussed a number of key issues such as the use of data strength, enable service providers and communities to provide smarter, safer and more effective methods, build reliable collaborative health ecosystems for big data applications and applications of primary and secondary goals of the basic principles of medical imaging and applications, as well as the impact of the digital revolution on the future Healthcare workforce.
Dr. Amr expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the University Rector for his continuous support and to the officials of the Medical City, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Computer Science, expressing his wishes for success to the speakers from inside and outside the Kingdom.
