Developing Orientation Program at KSU Medical City

The University Medical City represented by Human Resources finalized the improvement process of the Orientation Program for newly hired employees, which is in line with the Medical City strategy of development and introduces the employees to the organization. The Program incorporates a variety of important information about the university hospitals, procedures, policies, regulations and duties of the employees, in addition to introducing non-Saudis to the culture of Saudi Arabia. This Program is an integral part of the Medical City policy for the continuous improvement and development of the performance quality. In the opening, there was an introductory welcoming speech, followed by many representatives of the concerned departments briefing the employees about their responsibilities and the many services they offer. Afterwards, employee manual handbooks and brochures were distributed among the attendees in which they can read information pertaining to their jobs and the Medical City. The Program also included orientation rounds around the different departments of the hospital. His Excellency Mr. Abdulmohsen Al Hammad Al Ashry, Medical City Chief Operating Officer, stated that developing an Orientation program is part of a comprehensive plan to build a human resource system and culture in accordance with the accredited standards. The orientation program comes in response to the requirements of the Medical City Strategy and reflects the guidance of His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammad Al Muammar, Medical City Chief Executive Officer, in order to improve the performance and level of services provided to the staff and patients alike. At the end of the Orientation Program a questionnaire was distributed to assess the satisfaction level and comprehensiveness of the information in order to review the feedback and take it into consideration to further improve the quality of upcoming orientation programs, God willing.
