
KSU Rector inaugurates the new headquarters of the University Diabetes Center
His Excellency, the Rector of King Saud University, Prof. Dr. Badran Al-Omar, inaugurated the University Diabetes Center's new headquarters in King Khalid University Hospital's outpatient building in the University Medical City.
This step aims to provide medical care to all specialties and to be able to access these services in a short and comfortable period.
The Center provides integrated medical care for diabetic patients through clinics specializing in treating diabetes with the latest technologies. The Center includes several departments such as foot care clinics, diabetes pregnancy clinics, eye clinics, retina examination, heart clinics, nephrology clinics, psychiatric clinics, home diabetes monitoring clinics, health education clinics, clinical nutrition clinics, and social services.
The Center also provides training programs for fellowship physicians, residents, health education and clinical nutrition trainees, and many scientific courses, including a health education course, a clinical feeding course, an intensive insulin course, a diabetic foot course, and many community awareness programs.
The KSUMC Chief Medical Officer, Prof. Fawzi Al-Jasser, confirmed that this step is a qualitative leap in the health services provided to diabetic patients in King Saud University Medical City and aims to facilitate patients' visits to the Center by giving several medical services according to the highest standards of quality.
