Launch of “Sharik 6” at King Saud University Medical City
The Acting President of King Saud University, Prof. Ali bin Mohammed Mesmali, inaugurated the " Sharik 6" event. Organized by King Saud University Medical City (KSUMC), the launch took place in the presence of University Vice Presidents, the CEO of the Medical City, Prof. Ahmed bin Salah Hersi, several college deans, and leaders and representatives from relevant government sectors. The event aims to highlight projects that contribute to enhancing spending efficiency and maximizing financial and operational impact, as these efforts have collectively resulted in financial savings for the Medical City estimated at half a billion riyals.
The Executive Director of Strategic Planning at KSUMC, Prof. Saleh bin Abdulrahman bin Saleh, stated that the sixth edition of the " Sharik" exhibition follows the success of previous versions. This edition focuses on embedding a culture of spending efficiency and aligning it directly with the strategic goals of the Medical City. Furthermore, it seeks to strengthen cooperation with success partners in both the public and private sectors, providing a platform to exchange expertise and developmental ideas across various entities.
He noted that " Sharik 6" includes a package of new initiatives aimed at elevating the quality of healthcare services, improving human resource investment, and expanding the scope of training for male and female students of health colleges and postgraduate students at King Saud University. Additionally, the event explores diverse funding and investment opportunities that support financial sustainability. He added that the exhibition highlights projects supporting health research and the development of student and employee competencies, ultimately aiming to increase local and international competitiveness, achieve operational efficiency, and reduce waste.
