The Community Relations Office at King Saud University Organizes the “World Food Day 2025” Exhibitio



Acting on behalf of His Excellency the Acting President of King Saud University, Prof. Ali bin Mohammed Musmeli, the Chief Executive Officer of the University Medical City at the University, Prof. Ahmed Al-Hersi, officially inaugurated the events and activities for "World Food Day 2025."
The inauguration was attended by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Thunayan. These activities were organized by the Community Relations Office at the University, in collaboration with the Corporate Department of Public Relations and Media at the University Medical City. The event was staged in the Plaza area located at King Khalid University Hospital, which is part of the University Medical City.
The exhibition witnessed distinguished participation from various academic entities within the University, as well as leading national food companies. The primary objective of the entire event was to bolster public awareness concerning sound nutrition, foster a culture centered on healthy dietary practices, and educate attendees on the accurate procedures for interpreting nutritional information labels. World Food Day is acknowledged as a vital annual opportunity to escalate consciousness regarding the critical importance of achieving food security, ensuring the provision of healthy sustenance for every stratum of society, and motivating both corporations and individuals to fundamentally enhance their existing food systems, minimize the wastage of food, and actively support sustainable agricultural methods.
