What is Event Management & Event Management System?

Event Management is the application of project management to the creation and development of any kind of events that have start and end dates and includes coordination, running and planning of all teams and features that come together to create an event. Also it's a complex of coordination, running and planning of all teams and features that come together to create an event.

Event Management System is a subsystem that controls the generation and propagation of events database through the automation, using Event Management Software which will be as a fruitful system related to the Event Management Division under the umbrella of   KSUMC.

How will the Event Management Department (EMD) fit in King Saud University Medical City (KSUMC)?

By holding different events through the clear scope of work such as International/National, Medical/Non-medical, Symposia/Conferences, Workshops/Courses, Graduation Ceremonies, and Residents Research Days.

EMD also support and contribute to the strategic planning of KSUMC by defining and accomplishing the targeted mission, vision, objectives and values, enables an assessment of the current position of an institution and its service to be made a clear and coherent direction for its future to be determined.

What are the principles of the Event Management Department (EMD)?

As long as all the events will be treated as a project that have start and end dates then all these events will follow a project life cycle that has five main steps:

According to each project life cycle Event Management Department should fulfill the following areas through the expert who will handle these events, who should have sufficient knowledge on the shown areas, each area included work breakdown structure of any event wherein power resides in both Functional coordinator of each event and the expert (PMP) staff to report fully for the authorized top management.
