Welcome to the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department
King Saud University Medical City laboratories, strive to provide the highest quality diagnostic testing as we are well aware that 70% of medical decisions are based on lab results. KSUMC has two main laboratories, King Khalid University Hospital (KKUH) laboratory has 19 sections and subsections that vary between high volume 24/7 Services to more specialized labs; in addition to Anatomic Pathology with 14 specialized consultants.
King Abdul-Aziz University Hospital (KAUH), the laboratory has 7 units or sections that provide basics essential services.
KKUH phlebotomy serves around 1000 patients per day and draws about 4000 tubes each day while KAUH serves almost 250 patients per day with 800 tubes drawn every day.
